From time to time the church
hosts events for its families. To find out more please Contact Us.
Little Roots is a group for babies and toddlers with their parents/carers.
We meet from 9.00-11.30a.m. on Mondays during school term time. Come when you can, go when you must. We have toys out for free play as well as a craft activity and at 10am we gather together for singing and a story followed by a snack.
We meet in The Tree House located in the churchyard at White Waltham Church. There is parking at the bottom of Church Hill and more spaces available in the yard of Bury Court Antiques (Alistair Price).
We would love to see you!

Some recent events for families, children and young people
Events in 2017
We have had a pancake event for local families and members of the church family. Much fun was had by all!
And we enjoyed a Bring & Share Lunch with children's activities around Psalm 23 on Sunday 12 March. Please do come and see the sheepy picture of Psalm 23 done by the children that is now on display in The Tree House.
On Saturday 16 July a church family group met up at The Tree House for refreshments before setting out a walk Shottesbrooke and Waltham St Lawrence on a lovely sunny morning.
Barbecue for Church Families
We had a BBQ with fun and games on Saturday 18 June 2016 which took the theme of 'living stones' from 1 Peter chapter 2 verse 5.
We made rock cakes, painted pebbles, played noughts and crosses (or played with noughts and crosses!), barbecued, ate, and enjoyed a lovely afternoon!
The Last Supper
As part of the preparation to admit children to communion we learnt about the Last Supper....
Most recently we had a BBQ and Garden Party. See below for some photos!
At our 'Colours of Faith' tea party on Saturday 28 March 2015 the children did a range range of activities, each of them around a colour which had a particular significance:
Purple: Peg doll kings were dressed in purple robes and crowned with a golden pom pom crown to remind us that Jesus is our Royal King.
Yellow and Black: Sunrise collages were made with yellow representing the light of heaven and black representing the sinfulness of the world.
White: Cupcakes were decorated entirely with white decorations showing the purity of Jesus
Blue: Egg shapes were dipped in water with blue marbling inks to represent Baptism and the washing away of our sins.
Red: The egg shapes were hung up using red ribbons to remind us that Jesus bled when he was hurt on the cross.
Green: containers were covered in pictures of things that grow; cress seeds were then planted in the containers to help us remember that Jesus was there when everything was made, and he helps us to grow in our faith.
There was a Superheroes Advent Light Party for children at the end of November 2014.
Previous events for families include a Harvest Tea Party and an Easter tea party. The Harvest Tea Party was for all the family - Mums, Dads, Grandparents and children of all ages. The children (and their parents) made a wonderful farm display featuring a collage of fields growing different crops; tractors, other farm machinery and farm buildings made using junk modeling; and cows and sheep grazing in the fields. The display was a great addition to our Harvest Festival decorations! Here are a few of the photos....
